As you know, supporting American manufacturing is something that I truly care about. I have traveled all over this great nation, and have visited factories and their workers all the way from the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean. Manufacturing is the engine that has driven our economy for over a century, and it will continue to do so well into the 21st century.
However, our nation is in a precarious state as we continue to support foreign manufacturing at the expense of our own American jobs.
In this election year, you have chance to make the voices of American manufacturing heard - to demand that our political candidates work to preserve and strengthen this vital sector of our country.
I have partnered up with the Alliance for American Manufacturing, a unique nonpartisan, nonprofit partnership forged to strengthen manufacturing in the US bringing together a select group of America's leading manufacturers and the United Steelworkers, and have been hosting our own series of national Town Hall meetings designed to educate and empower voters to demand answers from their political candidates on the important issues of trade and manufacturing.

And whenever possible - continue to buy Made in America products. When doing so, you are supporting the very communities you grew up in - from the local shops to the little league teams. It's up to every American citizen to do what we can to continue to support the strong and self-supporting nation we love.
